Lonnie Edward Bowen (Smokey)
Smokey was born on March 5, 1952 in Jacksonville, Fl. Son of Lorenzo Edward Bowen and Nancy Lee Bowen. He was a jack of all trades and could do just about anything, but his true passion was fishing and spending time with his friends and loved ones.
Lonnie was fondly known as Smokey.Most people who knew him didn’t know Lonnie, but when you said Smokey- they knew who you were talking about. Smokey was known for his fishing skills, but more than that was his love for everyone he met. Never met a stranger, and most of the time would bring them home and make them a part of the family or at least, would take them fishing! Smokey is loved and will be missed.
Survivors include his loving wife, Sherry Darlen Bowen, three chrildren, Nancy Bowen Sillinger, Lonnie Edward Bowen Jr. and April Marie Andrews. Nine grandchildren, Joshua Michael Bowen, Christopher Paul Sillinger Jr., Johnathan Perry Sillinger, Rachel Michelle Sillinger, Haylee Angelina Bowen, Destiny Marie Andrews, Jordan Michael Andrews, Katara Seline Andrews. One great grandchild on the way! One sister Peggy Bowen, and nieces and nephews and many many loved ones and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, five sisters, and two brothers.
